New Pocky: Marron

Look at the cute frosted bags! This is the new marron Pocky but didn't really taste like chestnuts (still yummy though)! It had a slight coffee flavor and as you munched on them they had the texture of chestnuts.

My 2 favorite mini chocolate sets

Both sets are from Re-ment but the one on the right is a secret set. I was told that there's 1 secret set for every 120 sets. So this is suppose to be a really rare item but I actually received this exact set twice (from separate purchases) so I sold the other set. Once in a while I will find collectors who have secret sets to trade so that's one way for me to obtain the secret sets! Depending on the general level of desireableness it's usually 2-4 regular sets for 1 secret set.

Erika Sawajiri's Meiji Fran Commercial

I love this Meiji Fran Commercial! Erika Sawajiri is so pretty here and the music (Ken Hirai's Fake Star) is so catchy! This is the Aromatier series and there are 2 flavors: strawberry and rum-vanilla. My boyfriend prefers Fran over Pocky so I think he'll like these 2 flavors. alt : http://www.youtube.com/p/58C59AA79D405DA1

Locked your car keys inside the car? Creat your own OnStar service for $0!

What do you do when you lock your car keys inside the car and don't have any services like OnStar? You can create your own by using your cell phone to call, for example, your friend's cell phone and tell them to press your spare keyless remote while still on the phone and this will unlock you car! I just heard this on the radio this morning but they said it will only work if you can fullfill these criteria:

1) Your car has a remote keyless entry system
2) You have a spare keyless remote stored at home, office, basically anywhere other than the inside of your car!
3) You have your cell phone w/ you
4) You are able to use your cell phone to call your friend's cell phone and this friend must be able to access your spare keyless remote. Both parties must be using a cell phone!

As your friend presses the button on your spare keyless remote, the keyless remote will send out a signal/wave to your friend's cell phone. The signal/wave from your friend's cell phone will then be sent to your cell phone and then to your car's remote keyless entry system and this will unlock the car. But make sure you stand close to your car. I haven't tried this yet but will test it out either tonight or tomorrow and will give you guys an update. If anyone is going to try this, PLEASE HAVE A FRIEND SIT INSIDE THE CAR JUST IN CASE THIS METHOD DOESN"T WORK!!!!

Miniature Le Creuset Magnets

A friend helped me find these awesome magnets that were available only in Japan. When you purchase a bottle of Pepsi, you will receive 1 magnet (each magnet was individually packaged & attached to the Pepsi bottle) and there were a total of 8 styles. I saw them on a Japanese website and fell in love w/ them but couldn't find them on Ebay. My friend had a friend in Hong Kong that knew someone in Japan who helped us bid on these on a Japanese auction site. After winning the auction & receiving them, she ship the items to the friend in Hong Kong and from Hong Kong the item was shipped to my friend and was then delivered to me!

Sweets from Miette

I had to exchange one of the storage boxes I bought from the Container Store because one of the hinge was actually broken. Since I was in downtown and had my boyfriend to watch the car I thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to head down to Miette. Guess what's inside:

Gingerbread Cupcake:

I love macarons but making them myself is always a disaster! Pistachio, Vanilla, Hazelnut & Coffee Macarons:

More miniatures...

Here's a set of miniature Japanese food on a life-size sushi geta:

The white color version of the Re-ment kitchen sink/stove:

Bought a couple of these at the Container Store ($12.99 each) but I just wonder how many miniatures can fit in these boxes and is it worth the investment? Depending on the series, 1 compartment should be able to hold 1 set and there are 36 compartments = 36 sets per storage box (almost 4 full series). Seems like it will save a lot of space but not my money though because I would need almost 20 of these cases!
